Crowdbooster is a good tool for twitter lovers. It collects statistics of retweets, favorites and replies a user has. Using graphs and charts, it breaks down how many people interacted with your tweet within a week and a months period. The app also lets users know how to attract more followers and fans. This tool also works with other apps such as FaceBook. This tool is good for users to get an idea of the main interests of you and your followers.
I am a big twitter fan and decided to test out this app. At first, it seemed a little confusing, but I was able to teach myself of all of its functions. Crowdbooster will need access to a few tweets I put out in the future in order to process all of the data. The app is free to use, which benefits it from other apps. The strengths of this app included how easy it was to link several accounts to the app, as well as move around within the app. Its weaknesses is the amount of time it needs to process data. In order to like an app such as Crowdbooster, its users will need to check back on it within the next few days upon downloading it.

Online Shopping
Shopping is something that mostly everyone enjoys. You get to splurge your money on essentials such as clothes or home goods. Sometimes shopping can be a hassle, causing someone to travel to several places to shop around. Although I enjoy shopping around in different stores, shopping online is much more convenient for myself and others. Online shopping is something almost everyone is guilty of.
Online shopping is easy for people to bargain shop without having to move around from store to store, but in the comfort of your own home. One of the greatest factors of online shopping is not having to wait on line at a store, especially during holiday season. One of my favorite stores to shop online at are NastyGal. This store is not available to shop at anywhere but online. Online shopping offers sales from clothing to home goods. Online shopping is safe to use on store websites, however there are some fraud websites that may scam you into taking your money. Shoppers need to be careful when entering credit card information online because hackers can get a hold of your information, especially on an unprotected website. Another good factor of online shopping is that it is available 24/7. As long as you have a credit/debit card, you are able to shop for whatever you are looking for. Some stores even offer free shipping on certain products. Overall, online shopping is a convenient, easy way to browse and purchase some of your favorite items all in the comfort of your own home.

Filtering info on the internet
People filter and curate information on the internet based on what interests them. Websites such as Pinterest, allow users to filter their search based on what they are trying to find. For example, Pinterest offers different categories for users to search within. Some examples of categories are fashion, food & drink or sports. People use filters to categorize information. Different categories provide different information. Tags provide users to easily find what they are looking for. This also allows other users to search within that tag as well. On Pinterest, boards provide different categories for users to add their favorite things to. Creating a board labeled My favorite foods will allow the user to pin different types of foods they like to that category. Other users can search within these boards and pin the other users photos to their own board as well. Every website is different, providing and allowing different rules for filtering information found on that particular website.

Comparing the frequency of Computer Mediated Communication
For this assignment, my partner Steva Jeremias and I compared the differences between communicating through devices versus face to face communication. We used the information from our time logs to compare and contrast. We found that we are often communicating a lot through text messaging rather than face to face or social media such as Facebook or Twitter. We both had text messages that would go on all day long. It seems that most people prefer text over face to face communication. Although it is informal, it is an easy way to communicate with many people at once.
Gender differences are a great example in determining what is conversation worthy through a text and in face to face. According to the reading, it says that men and women differed in their preferences for FtF and CMC in self-presentational (impression management) goal achievement, with men indicating greater desire for FtF interaction over e-mail interaction with advisors compared to women.I can agree with this statement because my boyfriend hates talking via text. I always get mad when he doesn't answer me right away, but he thinks having a conversation through a text message in informal.
I believe that having a conversation via text is informal, however it is your choice on how you want to communicate with another person. With all of the latest technologies coming out such as Video Chatting via cellphone, it makes it easier for people to communicate through devices such as cellphones.
